Robinson’s rhetoric is demeaning to women

Gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson’s misogynistic rhetoric is a danger to creating a safe and productive learning environment for students and educators, especially for women and girls. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, almost 80 percent of teachers are female.

Mark Robinson has spent years making derogatory comments about women. He has spent almost a decade demeaning women and their bodies in Facebook posts like these

In March 2020 at an event hosted by Republican Women of Pitt County, Robinson suggested women’s voting rights should be revoked. Robinson said: “I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn’t vote.”

Women and girls in North Carolina deserve a leader that will create a future and space for them to achieve their highest dra in and out of the classroom. Not one that shames and demeans them at every turn.
